Flaherty Markets, a wholly Irish owned electrical wholesaler, established by James Flaherty, commenced trading in 1971 at Long walk, Galway and quickly established ourselves as a leading electrical supplier in Cannaught.

To support our ongoing expansion we opened a branch in Castlebar Co Mayo, in 1996, as Mayo Electrical Supplies (MES)
In 2001 we moved from our city centre location to Ballybane, Galway, where our purpose built 3000m2 premises are more accessable to customers and suppliers.
In 2003 we along with seven other independent electrical wholesalers formed Fegime Ireland Limited which became a member of Fagime Europe, a major electrical buying association. This move gives us access to all the major electrical manufacturers and, guarantees continuity of supplies at competitive prices and contributes greatly to our continuing success.
In 2005 a new Lighting and Domestic showrooms, The Lighthouse, adjacent to our main building at Ballybane was opened. Here not only do we carry an extensive range of quality lighting for the home and garden market and a range of large and small kitchen appliances but we also provide a lighting design service for commercial and industrial projects.
Our aim is to provide an excellent service to our customers through Stock Availability Attractive Pricing, Technical and Design Support and Prompt Delivery. We work closely with our customers to ensure that we attain and maintain high standards and being an Independent Wholesaler we ca respond immediately to any changes in local markets a special requirements of our customers.
We also play our part in the business and community life of the reqion. We are members of our local Chamber of Commerce and we support end sponsor many sporting end charitable events both local and national
